For those of you who don’t know, I have been working on my one tempis for EVER! 🙂 The one tempis are a movement in the highest levels of dressage – you need to do 11 in Inter 2 and 15 in the Grand Prix.
I have dreamt of doing this movement since I was 15 and watched the 1996 Olympics and saw the Grand Prix competitions. At the time I thought it looked pretty easy! A bit of skipping, no big deal! 🙂 … hmmm do you realise it has taken me 14 years to make that goal a reality! 14 YEARS!!!!! :):):) Gee, lucky I’m a patient girl!!!
I have come close – Tambo my other FEI horse got up to about 4 or 5 ones back in 2009 but I never mastered more than that! Now Abe and I have been trying for about 18 months and FINALLY today it has come true! 🙂
I have had a whiteboard in the stable block for 18 months with one time tempis 2-15:
Yes I still have 12, 13, 14 and 15 to go! But bring it on baby! One more month and I’ll have it!
Anyway, check out the video – I do the 7 2’s then go into the 11 1’s. Now I want to emphasise! Yes I get them! and YAY for me!!! SO excited! But they are not good! They still need a lot of work and improving! I am not putting these up saying how great they are! I am putting them up to show you that when you go for something, even if it takes 14 years, you can acheive it!
And the best thing is now I have the 11, I can work on the quality of them, making them better, even, straighter, bigger. … But I had to get them first! 🙂
