“Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.” —Jim Rohn
Yep that’s it – working on rough numbers of 50 weeks a year, living until 80 years old, thats 4,000 weeks!
What are you waiting for?
I watched the movie … “In Time” In short (see the trailer below) it is a story basically surrounding the fact that that everyone gets 25 years that’s it, unless they get more time (by working, begging, borrowing, stealing!!), and time is the new currency, with even a cup of coffee costing 5 minutes!!
So what about you? I know for me time is my biggest investment. And I am fanatical about my time. Who gets it, what I do with it and where it goes. Recently I was up in Sydney for a conference. Yes the conference is an investment in money, but more importantly it’s an investment of 4 days of my life. If the conference is no good, I have wasted four days I will never get back. The money will always come back but the time never does…
Remember – time can be spent, wasted, used or invested. It can’t be saved and it can’t be borrowed.
So with time being our most valuable resource what are you doing with it? … and please don’t make me cry and say you’re using 4 hours a day of it to watch TV. We only get 8,736 hours in a year, and if you are using 16% of that on TV – I ask you is it worth it? … don’t get me wrong – I can get sucked into “The Voice” and “My Kitchen Rules” as much as the next person! But at the end of the day I know if I invest my time wisely into spending time with my loved ones, educating myself so I can be a better rider, a better communicator, better leader, then the time is not wasted. But in 10 years – heck even in one year if you ask me who won My Kitchen Rules I can’t tell you!
So I trust you are investing your time wisely, and making the most of your year! Every second of those 4,000 weeks is ticking by …. are you making the most of it?
To Your Everlasting Success and Growth!
p.s. – Love to hear how this has helped in your riding journey!! 🙂
