PREPARING YOUR OTTB FOR A SAFE HACK – PART 1

Today we wanted to get Mowgley out of the round yard to start experiencing something different. We don’t want him to associate the arena with hard work, instead providing him with a different environment and having a relaxing ride.

But in order to have a safe hack, especially for his first outing, there is so much preparation we have to do first to ensure safety for both the rider and the horse.

We show you what to do with a horse that avoids the contact. He either sticks his head in the air like a giraffe, or tucks his neck in. We are going to show you how to fix this. You’ll learn what things matter, and what things don’t on this journey to contact.

If you are looking for a better way to train dressage, a clearer step by step system to follow, AND looking to have more fun in your riding with faster progress.
I’d love to hear from you how you go and what strategies you use when you are training your horse.

Offer as much details as possible in your reply – your story might just help someone else have a breakthrough in their riding journey!

Important: Links to other posts, videos etc. will be removed.

Thank so so much for reading, watching and sharing your story!
