This week on Tash’s Thursday Training Tip Natasha works with her rider Montana and one of the young horses Zorro and answers the question – how do you get your horse really through and connected – how do you get your horse on the bit?

This is a question worth revisiting over and over again because of its importance in riding. This week Natasha gives a lesson to Montana on a young, relatively inexperienced horse so you can learn a lot from it. The most important take home lesson is that when you create all of the energy and you are making the horse work from behind, soften the outside rein but don’t give too much rein – the rein is not pulling on the horses mouth, but it is still connected, it can’t go slack!

Happy and safe riding 🙂
