Half Halts - Can You Have Too Many? DMA TV Ep 6 - Your Riding Success

This weeks questions was, can you do too many half halts? The answer is no. However, if they are ineffective… Yes. You can do too many if they are not effective.

You’ll use a half-halt any time you are about to do something with your horse. It’s your communication with your horse, letting him know, ‘hey something is coming up soon, get ready!’. So it is a communication using the outside rein, a tightening of the outside rein.

Enjoy as Natasha demonstrates the half halt. And then go and practice yours.
